It does not steal anything. It just floats near the cart and scares customers away. To get rid of it, you have to punch it. The punch mechanic is simple — tap the screen and the character swings. But the timing matters. Punch too early and the ghost phases through. Punch too late and three customers leave. The thief is worse. He runs fast and grabs ingredients or cash. The trigger is unknown. Restarting the game does not restore the table. The only fix is to reload a previous save.
