About Factory: Idle & Tycoon Game

Automation hits a wall before it starts

The moment the game loads, the automation promise feels real. Robots appear on the assembly line. The cash counter ticks upward. But within the first few minutes, the first ad hits. No skip button. Just a 30-second video that dumps you into the Google Play store page afterward. You have to manually navigate back. Then wait again for the close button to appear. That pattern repeats every five seconds of actual playtime, according to multiple player accounts. The idle game that promises to run itself actually demands more active attention than a clicker, because you are constantly fighting ad interruptions just to see the numbers move.

The underground factory setting gives the game a distinctive flavor. You are not running a legitimate manufacturing plant. This is a counterfeit operation. The game frames it as a "dual life" scenario —白天 a regular worker, 夜晚 the boss of a secret地下工厂. That narrative hook sets it apart from clean tycoon simulators. But the hook only lasts as long as the ads let you enjoy it. Players report that after the first few upgrades, the game becomes a cycle of watching videos, collecting a tiny reward, watching another video, and repeating. The actual factory management happens in the gaps between commercials.

Robots, warehouses, and the bottleneck you cannot ignore

The automation robots are the core mechanical engine. Each robot you assign to an assembly line increases production speed. The game lets you recruit different types of robots, each with its own efficiency rating. Supervisors boost the robots' output further. On paper, this creates a satisfying upgrade path. In practice, the warehouse system strangles the whole operation. The warehouse has a hard storage limit. If your robots produce faster than your warehouse can hold, the excess production simply vanishes. No warning. No overflow notification. Just lost income.

This creates a constant tension. You upgrade robots to earn more cash. That cash lets you upgrade the warehouse. But warehouse upgrades cost more than robot upgrades at every tier. So you end up with robots that produce more than you can store, wasting potential earnings. The game does not explain this relationship anywhere in its tutorial. The Play Store description mentions "upgrade warehouses" and "install automation robots" as separate bullet points. It never tells you they fight each other. This is the real strategic layer — not the business simulation the marketing promises, but a resource-balancing puzzle that only reveals itself after you have already invested in the wrong order.

Some players try to compensate by watching ads for temporary storage boosts. That works for about two minutes. Then the boost expires, the warehouse fills up again, and you are back to watching another ad. The game's monetization model is not subtle. It is built around this exact friction point.

The update history says "Bugfixes" and nothing else

The version changelog on the Play Store consists of a single word: "Bugfixes." No list of what got fixed. No mention of performance improvements. No detail about what changed from one version to the next. This is a pattern across multiple APK mirror sites as well — the update notes are either blank or just say "Bugfixes." The developer, Brightika Inc., has not published specific details about recent changes. This lack of transparency matters because the game has known stability issues. Some users report crashes when switching between factory screens. Others say the app freezes during ad playback. Without a proper changelog, there is no way to know whether the latest version actually addressed any of these problems.

The iOS version has a slightly different update cadence. Version 1.4.4 added translations. Version 1.4.3 was released in May 2025. The Android side has moved to 1.5.4 as of July 2026. But the actual content of those updates remains a mystery. The only concrete change anyone can point to is the addition of more languages. Everything else is just "Bugfixes" — a generic placeholder that tells the user nothing.

One specific permission and what it actually does

The app requests 10 permissions according to privacy reports. Among them are standard ones like internet access and storage. But one permission stands out: the ability to draw over other apps. This is not a permission most idle games need. It allows the game to display overlay ads on top of other applications. That explains the aggressive ad behavior. The game is not just showing ads within its own interface. It can push ads over other apps you are using. This is the technical mechanism behind the complaints about "multi-layer cross-app ads." The permission is listed in the privacy report for the package ID, confirming it is not a user rumor.

This permission is the reason the ads feel so intrusive. They are not confined to the game window. They can appear while you are checking messages, browsing the web, or using any other app. The game does not warn you about this during installation. It just requests the permission, and if you grant it, the ads become system-level interruptions. The only way to stop them is to uninstall the game or revoke the permission manually through Android settings. But revoking the permission can break the game's reward system, because the ads are tied to in-game bonuses. So you are stuck choosing between constant interruptions or losing the progression boosts that make the game playable.
