Opening the app and getting dropped into a Hollywood apartment with zero instructions

The second you tap the icon, the game throws you into a furnished apartment. No tutorial pops up. No narrator explains the controls. There is just a character standing in a room, and a few icons on the screen. You have to figure out what to do next by tapping around. This is deliberate. The developer wants you to explore. But for new players, it is disorienting. You might spend the first two minutes just clicking on furniture to see if anything happens. Nothing does. The only interactive elements are the avatar customization button and the "go to event" button. Everything else is decorative. This onboarding approach works for seasoned RPG players. It alienates casual users who expect hand-holding.

Once you customize your avatar, the game drops you into a red carpet event. You have to choose an outfit. The game gives you three options. Each one has a different "style score." You pick the highest one. The event plays out automatically. You watch your character walk the carpet, pose for photos, and gain followers. This is the core loop: customize, attend event, gain followers, unlock new items, repeat. The loop is simple. It is also repetitive. There is no variation in the event sequence. Every red carpet event follows the same pattern. The only difference is the outfit you wear and the number of followers you gain.

The game does not explain the follower system. You see a number at the top of the screen. It goes up after events. It goes up when you buy new clothes. It goes up when you complete challenges. But the game never tells you what the number means. Does it unlock new locations? Does it affect your in-game currency? Does it determine which events are available? The player has to guess. This lack of transparency is frustrating. It creates a sense of aimlessness. You are grinding for a number without knowing what it does.

How the Friends feature and the Fame system pull in opposite directions

The Friends feature was added in version 2.4.0. It lets you connect with other players using a unique Player ID. The more friends you have, the more rewards you can earn together. This sounds like a social feature. In practice, it is a progression booster. Friends give you bonuses. They do not affect your fame score directly. Fame is still tied to individual achievements: attending events, buying clothes, completing challenges. This creates a tension. You can have a hundred friends and still have low fame because you have not attended enough events. Conversely, you can have no friends and high fame if you grind events. The two systems are disconnected.

This disconnect is not explained anywhere. The Play Store description says "The more friends you have, the more rewards you can earn together as you build your Hollywood network." It implies that friends help you build fame. They do not. They give you currency and items. Fame is separate. This is a missed opportunity. A better design would have friends contribute to your fame score indirectly. For example, friends could attend your events and boost your follower count. That would create a meaningful social loop. Instead, the friends feature feels like an add-on. It does not integrate with the core progression system.

The Spa Salon mini-game adds another layer. It is a time-management game where you pamper clients. The faster you work, the more tips you earn. Tips convert to in-game currency. Currency buys clothes. Clothes increase fame. This is a more engaging loop than the main events. But it is hidden. You have to discover it by exploring the menu. The game does not direct you to it. This is a pattern: the developer adds features but does not explain them. Users have to find them on their own. This creates a sense of discovery for some players. For others, it creates frustration.

The real-world performance: ads, lag, and the elusive stability patch

The app has a persistent ad problem. Every time you finish an event, an ad plays. Every time you return to the main menu, an ad plays. The App Store page confirms that the app "Contains Advertising." The ads are not optional. You cannot skip them. You have to watch the full 30 seconds. This is a common complaint in user reviews. One user said, "There is not enough free episodes, and you can't get any episodes wher you watch an ad and then see another episode." The developer's response acknowledges this: "We offer two ways to watch more: 1. Subscribe to remove all ads. 2. Watch ads to unlock episodes." The subscription model is expensive. The cheapest in-app purchase is $0.99 for "Chat Starter." The most expensive is $79.99 for "Superstar Bundle." This pricing is aggressive.

The game also has performance issues. On older devices, it lags. The animations are choppy. The event sequences stutter. The APKPure page lists the minimum requirement as Android 9.0. But the game runs poorly on devices with less than 3 GB of RAM. This is not mentioned anywhere. Users have to discover this through trial and error. The developer has released multiple "performance improvements" updates. Version 2.4.0 includes "performance improvements for faster gameplay, better stability, and fixed various bugs." Despite this, the lag persists. The root cause seems to be the game's rendering engine. It uses high-resolution assets that are not optimized for older hardware.

The size of the app is also a concern. The APK is 244.6 MB. The iOS version is 227.7 MB. This is large for a casual RPG. It takes up significant storage space. The developer has not addressed this in any update. The size has remained consistent across versions. For users with limited storage, this is a barrier. The game also requires additional space for cache and updates. The APKPure page notes that "安装应用以及保存临时文件、更新和缓存数据还需要额外的可用空间." This is not communicated on the Play Store.

The Player ID system requires an internet connection and a unique 16-digit code

The Friends feature relies on a Player ID system. Each user gets a unique 16-digit code. You share this code with other players. They add you using the code. The game does not have a search function. You cannot find friends by username. You have to exchange codes manually. This is cumbersome. It also requires an internet connection. The game does not work offline for this feature. One user on a mod forum noted, "Internet is not required to play it but it's required for some events." The friends feature is one of those events. If you are offline, you cannot add friends or earn rewards. This limits the feature's usefulness.

The Player ID is stored locally. The file path is /Android/data/se.abersoft.influencer.girl/files/Saves/player.json. This is a JSON file. It contains your ID and other save data. The file is not encrypted. Advanced users can edit it. This is how mods work. The modding community has created hacks for unlimited currency and unlocked items. The developer has not implemented any anti-tamper measures. This is a security risk. A malicious user could alter your save file if they have access to your device. It also means the game's economy is easily bypassed. The in-app purchases are essentially optional for tech-savvy users. The developer has not addressed this in any update.
