The Delivery Confirmation That Only Speaks English
The delivery confirmation screen shows only English text. That is fine for a corporate dashboard. But the person receiving the cylinder might speak Hindi, Marathi, or Tamil. The operator cannot switch the language. The customer sees a screen they cannot read. They sign anyway. The system logs the delivery as confirmed. No one checks if the customer actually understood what they signed for. This creates a liability gap. The operator is following procedure. The customer is confused. The app does not care. It just moves to the next screen. This is not a bug. It is a design choice that assumes everyone reads English. In a country where only 10% of the population speaks English fluently, that assumption is dangerous.
The PFS feature is supposed to help. It stands for Petrol Pump Station. The idea is that operators can manage both LPG and petrol pump operations from one app. But the PFS module does not talk to the delivery module. A delivery scheduled through PFS does not trigger the same OTP confirmation as a regular LPG delivery. The operator has to manually confirm the delivery. That defeats the purpose of having a digital system. The manual confirmation is prone to errors. Cylinders get marked as delivered when they are not. Customers complain. The operator blames the app. The app blames the operator. No one wins.
Why the Old System Was Faster
Before this app, operators used paper registers and phone calls. It was slow. But it was predictable. The app promised speed. It delivers lag instead. Users report that the app lags a lot on certain phones. The booking process takes longer than it should. The screen freezes. The operator restarts the app. The booking is lost. They have to start over. The old paper system never crashed. It never asked for a mobile number update that it could not process. It never showed a spinning wheel for five seconds between each photo upload. The app does not make the job faster. It makes the job more frustrating.
The lag is not uniform. It affects older phones more. But the operator does not choose their phone. They use whatever they have. The app requires Android 10 or higher. Many operators are still on Android 9. They cannot install the app at all. They are locked out of the system. The official solution is to buy a new phone. That is not a solution. That is a cost. The operator is already running a small business. Adding a phone upgrade to the expense list is not realistic. So they keep using the paper system. The app becomes optional. That defeats the purpose of digitisation.
The Update That Added a Feature Nobody Asked For
The July 2026 update added the PFS feature. The changelog called it "New PFS Feature, Enhancements, and Bug Fixes." No bug was specified. No enhancement was detailed. The PFS feature was not requested by any user in the reviews. Users wanted the lag fixed. They wanted the mobile number update option. They wanted the OTP system to work. Instead, they got a feature that ties LPG and petrol pump operations together. That might be useful for a large dealer. For a small LPG operator, it is irrelevant. It adds complexity without adding value. The app size increased by 8 MB. That is 8 MB of storage that could have been used for something else. The operator does not see the benefit. They just see a slower app that takes up more space.
The version history shows a pattern. Each update adds a new feature. None of the updates fix the core complaints. The lag persists. The crash on startup persists. The OTP failure persists. The developers are adding layers on top of a shaky foundation. The foundation never gets repaired. The app is becoming a house of cards. One more feature might bring it down entirely.
The OTP That Never Arrives
The delivery confirmation relies on an OTP. The operator generates the OTP. The customer receives it on their phone. The operator enters the OTP. The delivery is confirmed. That is the theory. In practice, the OTP does not always arrive. The network is slow. The SMS gateway is overloaded. The customer's phone is switched off. The operator waits. The customer waits. The cylinder sits in the van. The delivery gets delayed. The operator marks it as delivered without the OTP. The system allows that. There is a manual override. That override is the weak point. It is used too often. It becomes the default. The OTP system becomes meaningless. The app is supposed to prevent fraud. The manual override enables it. The operator can mark any delivery as complete without proof. That is a feature, not a bug. It is a feature that defeats the purpose of having a digital system in the first place.
