It simply sits there, waiting for you to type something in. This is the entire onboarding experience: a blank slate with a plus sign.

The lack of guidance is a deliberate choice. The developer's description says the app has "wide flexibility in its use, depending on the purposes of its users." This is accurate. You can use it to track your grocery spending, your gym attendance, your company's revenue, or your inventory of products. The app does not care what you enter. It only cares that you enter something. The fields are generic enough to accommodate any of these use cases. A transaction can be labeled "Rent" or "Protein Powder" or "Wholesale Order #42." The app treats them all the same. This flexibility is both its strength and its weakness.

When expense tracking meets inventory management

The app's most unusual behavior emerges when you try to use the expense tracking feature together with the stock tracking feature. The app allows you to track product stock by entering the value of each item, and it automatically generates a grand total. But there is no link between the stock tracking module and the expense tracking module. If you buy inventory for your micro-company, you have to log it as an expense in the personal accounting section and then separately log it as a stock item in the stock tracking section. The app does not connect the two. This creates a duplication of effort. They built four separate tracking tools that happen to live in the same app. The personal accounting feature does not talk to the stock tracking feature. The fitness tracking feature does not talk to the micro-company finance feature. Each module operates in its own silo. A user who wants to track their personal fitness expenses (like a gym membership) and also track their business finances would have to maintain two separate ledgers within the same app. This is inefficient, but it is also the app's core value proposition: you get four tools for the price of zero.

Why the app requests no permissions and what that means
