Opening the app and finding your event

The first screen after installation asks for an event code or a search term. Attendees receive a welcome email with a system-generated username and password, plus a direct link to the event. The app does not show a generic home screen — it drops you straight into the event content. This design assumes you already have an event to join. Once inside, the bottom navigation bar gives access to the core sections: schedule, speakers, venue map, sponsors, and social feed. The schedule shows sessions by time and track. Speakers appear with bios and photos. The venue map displays the floor plan with clickable booths and session rooms. The sponsor section lists exhibitors with logos and descriptions. The social feed shows posts, photos, and comments from other attendees. The networking feature sits inside the schedule and speaker sections — a matchmaking tool that recommends connections based on shared interests and professional goals. Tapping the "Start Networking" button opens a list of suggested contacts. From there, you can send a message or request a one-on-one meeting. The AI Copilot, available as a floating chat icon, answers questions about the event, suggests sessions to attend, and helps find people you should meet. It works like a pocket concierge for the entire conference.

How the matchmaking and venue map work together in a real conference

The matchmaking algorithm analyzes attendee profiles, session selections, and stated interests to generate a ranked list of recommended connections. Each recommendation includes a name, title, company, and a match percentage. Tapping a recommendation opens a profile with a "Message" button and a "Request Meeting" option. The interactive venue map shows booth numbers and session room locations. When a matchmaking recommendation includes a sponsor or exhibitor, the map highlights that booth's position. This combination means an attendee can identify a valuable contact through the matchmaking tool, then immediately locate that person's booth or session room on the map. The map does not auto-navigate — it shows the floor plan with labels, and the attendee must physically walk to the location. The social feed shows real-time posts from attendees, including photos from booths and session rooms, which adds context to the map's static layout. This workflow — matchmaking identifies who to meet, the map shows where to find them, the social feed shows what is happening there — creates a continuous loop of discovery and action. This workflow has a practical limitation. The map does not show live attendee locations. You see booth numbers and room labels, but you cannot see whether your recommended contact is currently at their booth or in a session. If your contact is not at their booth when you arrive, you have no way to know where they went. The matchmaking tool does not integrate with real-time location tracking.
