Opening the app for the first time

The moment you open OLX Pakistan - Seller Center, you are hit with a login screen. You need an existing OLX account to proceed. If you are a new seller, you must first register on the main OLX platform before you can access this seller-specific tool. Once logged in, the dashboard loads with a summary of your store's performance. You see your active listings, pending orders, and recent payouts. The interface is clean but basic. The navigation bar at the bottom gives you four main tabs: Home, Products, Orders, and More. The Home tab shows your dashboard. The Products tab lists all your current listings. The Orders tab shows your order history. The More tab contains settings, support, and other options. Getting started is straightforward if you already know the OLX ecosystem. If you are new, you might feel lost. There is no guidance on how to create a product listing or how to manage an order. You have to click around to find what you need.

When order management meets payment tracking

The order management feature is the core of this app. When a buyer places an order, it appears in your Orders tab with a status: pending, confirmed, dispatched, or delivered. You can update the status as you process the order. This is where the app works well. The real issue emerges when you try to track payments alongside orders. The app shows you a payout summary, but it does not link individual payouts to specific orders. You see a total amount due, but you cannot tell which order generated which payment.

This creates a practical problem for sellers with multiple orders. You have to manually cross-reference your order list with your payout history. The app does not provide a unified view. This is a significant gap because payment delays are a common complaint. Sellers report that payments are often delayed beyond the 15-day commitment. Without a clear link between orders and payouts, it is difficult to identify which orders are causing the delay. This forces sellers to maintain separate records outside the app, which defeats the purpose of having a centralized seller tool.

Performance and reliability in practice

The app's real-world performance is mixed. When it works, it is functional. You can create listings, update prices, and mark orders as shipped. However, multiple sources report frequent issues. Users on Trustpilot describe "way too many bugs" and constant logout problems. The app sometimes crashes when you try to view detailed order information. Loading times can be slow, especially when you have a large number of listings. The search function within the app is basic and does not always return relevant results.

Customer support is another weak point. The help center provides articles on common issues, but live support is limited to specific hours. Sellers have reported that support responses are slow and often unhelpful. The app's performance issues are not just minor inconveniences. They directly impact a seller's ability to manage their business efficiently. A crash during order processing can lead to lost sales. A slow loading time can waste valuable minutes. These problems are consistent with the broader complaints about OLX's platform reliability.

Storage and permission requirements

The app requires basic permissions to function. It needs access to your device's storage to save images of your products. It also needs camera access if you want to take photos directly within the app. These permissions are standard for any e-commerce app. The app size is moderate, but it can grow over time as you cache product images and order data. There is no built-in cache clearing option. If you notice the app slowing down, you have to manually clear the cache from your device's settings.
